Care & Maintenance

Proper care and maintenance of your Sydney Homewares products will ensure they remain in excellent condition for years to come. Please follow the guidelines below for each product category.

LED Mirrors

  • Clean the mirror surface with a soft, lint-free cloth and a mild glass cleaner
  • Avoid spraying cleaner directly onto the mirror — apply to the cloth first
  • Do not use abrasive cleaners, scouring pads, or harsh chemicals
  • Keep the frame and edges dry to protect the electrical components
  • Do not submerge or expose the mirror to direct water spray

Tapware

  • Wipe down with a soft, damp cloth after each use to prevent water spots and mineral build-up
  • Use a mild, non-abrasive cleaner for routine cleaning
  • Avoid bleach-based or acidic cleaners as they can damage the surface finish
  • Dry thoroughly after cleaning to maintain the finish
  • For stubborn limescale, use a diluted white vinegar solution and rinse thoroughly

Basins & Sinks

  • Clean regularly with a mild bathroom cleaner and a soft cloth or sponge
  • Avoid abrasive scrubbing pads that may scratch the surface
  • Rinse thoroughly after cleaning to remove any residue
  • Do not leave harsh chemicals or hair dyes in contact with the basin surface

Showers & Bathtubs

  • Rinse the surface after each use to remove soap and shampoo residue
  • Clean weekly with a non-abrasive bathroom cleaner
  • Avoid steel wool or abrasive pads that can scratch acrylic or enamel surfaces
  • Use a squeegee on glass shower screens to prevent water marks

Toilets & Bidets

  • Clean the bowl regularly with a toilet cleaner and brush
  • Wipe the exterior with a mild disinfectant and soft cloth
  • Avoid placing heavy objects on the cistern lid
  • Do not use in-tank bleach tablets as they can damage internal components

Vanities

  • Wipe surfaces with a damp cloth and mild cleaner
  • Avoid leaving standing water on timber or MDF surfaces
  • Use coasters or mats under toiletry bottles to prevent staining
  • Keep doors and drawers dry and free from moisture build-up

Accessories & Door Locks

  • Wipe with a soft, damp cloth regularly
  • Avoid abrasive or chemical cleaners that may damage the finish
  • Lubricate door lock mechanisms periodically with a dry lubricant spray
